a gentle request

An Unplugged Ceremony

We’ve hired a wonderful photographer so that no one has to work on their day off. When we look back on our ceremony, we want to see your shining faces, not your shining phones.

So we kindly ask that you put your phones away during the ceremony and simply be present with us. There will be plenty of time for photos at the reception.

What time should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive by 4:30 PM. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM, and we’d hate for you to miss a moment.
When should I RSVP by?
Kindly reply by Friday, February 12, 2027. You can update your response anytime before then by looking up your name again on the RSVP page.
What happens if I don’t RSVP by February 12?
We’ll be finalizing our headcount with our venue shortly after, so we truly need to hear from everyone by Friday, February 12, 2027. If we haven’t heard from you by then, we’ll lovingly assume you’re unable to join us, and we won’t be able to seat you at the reception. We would so much rather celebrate with you, so please let us know in time, and kindly only RSVP “yes” if you’re certain you can be there.
Can I bring a guest or my children?
Your invitation will show exactly who is included in your party. When you look yourself up on the RSVP page, anyone invited in your group will appear there by name, and they’re warmly welcome to celebrate with us.
Will there be a full schedule?
Yes. Full weekend and day-of details will arrive with your formal invitation, so keep an eye on your mailbox and inbox.
What should I pack for the weather?
Late April in Houston is typically warm and a little humid, often in the upper 70s to mid 80s during the day and cooler in the evening, with a chance of a passing spring shower. We’d suggest breathable fabrics, a light layer for the evening, and packing with the warm Gulf Coast spring in mind.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony and reception will both take place at the same venue in Houston, with beautiful indoor and garden spaces. We’ll share the exact location with you once you’ve RSVP’d.
What kind of food will be served?
We’ll be serving a buffet-style dinner with a variety of options. If you have any dietary needs, just let us know on your RSVP.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes. Complimentary valet parking is available on-site, and rideshare is easy throughout Houston.
Where should I stay?
We’ve gathered a few favorite hotels nearby, some with a complimentary shuttle, on our Travel page.
